Fight for JayCee Continues

The Minnesota Court of Appeals affirmed that it is illegal to discriminate against transgender people in sports, but is sending JayCee Cooper’s case to trial to determine whether or not she was discriminated against for being transgender. Jess Braverman, legal director of Gender Justice asserts, “It is crystal clear that JayCee Cooper experienced exactly this kind of discrimination, and we are confident that the courts will ultimately agree.”

Another Win for Reproductive Rights

Gender Justice achieved a major victory in a ruling in the case filed against a pharmacist who refused to fill a patient’s birth control prescription in rural Minnesota!

Trans Equity Training

Our next Trans Equity Training is taking place on April 18 at 5:30pm over Zoom! At these trainings, participants learn how best to talk about issues affecting people who are transgender, find ways to take action to combat the rising tide of violence against trans people, and meet others who are passionate about the fight for trans equity and empowerment. All genders and allies are welcome!
