Gender Justice Brunch: A Conversation with Melissa Murray

There is so much to love about brunch: food favorites, mimosas, conversations, friends, and more! We are taking the best things about brunch to create a new Gender Justice event!

Join us and a few of our favorite drag queens for mingling and trivia, and then sit down for brunch while Gender Justice Legal Director Jess Braverman hosts an informative (and quite possibly hilarious) discussion with Melissa Murray, legal analyst for MSNBC and co-host of the popular podcast “Strict Scrutiny.” Melissa is one of the nation’s leading experts on women’s rights, reproductive rights and justice, and the United States Supreme Court.

Jess and Melissa will explore the intersection of gender, race, and the law and the ways in which gendered roles and expectations have long permeated—and continue to permeate—all aspects of our society today. From romps on private jets to dismantling decades of legal precedent—this is a historic and consequential moment for the Supreme Court. This fall, let us help you brunch your way to understanding its impact.
