Here’s the truth most Minnesotans don’t know: For decades, anti-abortion lawmakers in our state have been quietly passing laws that restrict abortion access, intimidate providers and patients, and increase costs.
These laws are outdated and patriarchal, and treat people like they’re incapable of making their own decisions. It’s time to recognize abortion as what it is: health care.
Today, together with advocates around the state, we are challenging these unconstitutional anti-abortion laws in court and launching UnRestrict Minnesota to educate Minnesotans about these harmful laws.
The Minnesota Constitution and Supreme Court rulings guarantee and protect the right to both have an abortion and decide to have an abortion, without the government trying to sway a person’s decision one way or another.
