Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs) often claim to provide pregnancy-related services, but their practices may leave you feeling uncomfortable, unsupported, or even misled. These centers are often not reproductive health clinics and may actively withhold critical information, mislead you, or even cause harm.
What You Should Know About CPCs:
- CPCs often do not employ licensed reproductive health providers.
- They do not provide or refer for abortion and may provide misinformation about abortion, contraception, and other essential health care.
- Unlicensed staff may be involved in your care, and they may not be subject to HIPAA and other privacy protection laws.
- Some CPCs advertise unproven and potentially unsafe procedures like “abortion pill reversal.”
